AMA Dist.17 Hare Scrambles Prophetstown

Got all ready to go to Morrison, IL to race but like the last time we tried to go mother nature did not work with so WFO had to change back to  Prophetstown like the last time. I had three opertuinite to make it to race that my dad has not been to for 20-30yrs. I got a mid back start and was going well till half way through the race I got tangled with the anther racer which ended up ripping my camelback half way off and wasting valuable time. I ended up finishing 5th on the day so not bad at all.  I would  like to thank all our sponsors and family that make this possible and remember to keep the shinny side up.

Fouth of July Race weekend at FVOR Wendron, IL

What better weekend to go camping and racing then on our independent day. On Saturday night we got to enjoy the fire works show from Sky Dive Chicago right from our camp site which you cant get no better than that. Sunday came and got ready for a late start GP because they the trails event they where having. That work out good fro me because I needed to put rear wheel bearings in my bike. Jay got them in for me which was great my cousin says its good luck to be working on our bike be for the race got out for practice which was good because it was a diffent laid out Crouse. I got to the line for my 1st race and got 2nd off the start bet start I think I have ever gotten was running down the trail then went down the then my front tire washed out going down a hill and then half my class got around me I got back up and something did not feel right got on to the moto track then I feel again now the class be hide all passed me now I know there something wrong got back up looked over the front brake nothing so started back on the track and the bike still did not feel right so stopped and checked the bike again and found I had a flat front tire so I finished my 1 lap and the pulled off so DNF 1 moto not how I wanted to start. the best start out of 15 years of racing then I get my 1st flat every that I have been racing. so I had to keep claim and now change my inner tube. Got it changed out to get ready for 2nd moto. my dad had good weekend and finished 3 in both motos 3rd on the day. I went out for2nd moto and could not put in a good ride after what happened in the 1st moto I ended up finishing 9th on the day. it was good to have a dry weekend. AMA Dist.17 Hare scaramble Chanderville, IL

We went down to Mid west motocross to race a Hare Scramble down there. my dad pulled out his Gas Gas after 3 years of running vintage the last race he raced it was Goshen Enduro back in 2012. the where calling for a chance of rain around like 1 but with the races staring late and the storm rolling in fast it did not look like we where going to miss it my dad went out for his race got around 2 laps in and it just down poured on us they ended up calling his race early. he got off the track and told me its muddy but hole lot of fun. finely they let us start our race and it was as servile course I made I bad mistake on the 1st lap that coast me a lot of time and energy on a hard race. there was a cool water crossing that had ruining water and kept getting deeper each lap around it reminded me of the stories my dad told me about back in the day the of endures he ran. all in all really fun day playing in the mud. I ended up finishing 4th so it was a good mud run. I would  like to thank all our sponsors and family that make this possible and remember to keep the shinny side up.

 

2nd Round FVOR Hare Scaramble/GP Serise Wedron, IL

Made it out to  Fox Valley again for anther weekend out with the RV and what should be for a great weekend for a Hare Scramble look like we just missed the rain till about 8 o'clock at night then it just poured on us which is not good because here is clay and when it gets wet it turns in to an ice sacking pond. got up went to go sign up and it did not seam as bad as it could have been. my dad was the 1st to race went out and he had a blast. he ended up finishing 2nd. now its is my turn to go out got an ok start got down to the 1st mud hole witch was a bottle neck I picked I good line to get around but did not carry enough monument through and got stuck in it then I struggled 1/2 thought day on the EX section but by the end of the race I found the grove I need to in finished 4th on the day which was really good on a mud run.  I would like to thank the Ward family for running putting on a good race with not he best of condition and putting on fun good races. I would also like to thank all our sponsors and family that make this possible. remember to keep the shinny side up.

 

 

     

Dopple Header Cancled Coal Valley, IL/Ottawa, IL

We where going to go to Coal Valley, IL then Ottawa, IL for to GP but they got hit with rain all week then on Thursday night the got poured on and by Friday they had 2 inches of rain in there parking lot so no racing this week end

Round 4 AMA Dist.17 GP Lasalle, IL

we made it out to a rainy GP race we got out there and walked the track to see how bad it was because we heard it was really bad out there which after we walked it did not look too bad. the club decide to push back the start of the race so the track can dry which was the right choices because after the 1 set of mottos it was perfect. I got a mid pack start again and by the mid part of the race there was a bottle neck which I he to get around which was good because I got around like 3 or 4 riders there. I finished mid-pack not bad for a muddy 1st race. my dad had to good races and ended up finishing 2 on the day. my 2nd moto was not as good as my 1st because the 1 was more muddy where it got fast for the 2nd and I like the more challenge type race so I ended up finishing 13th for the day which was not to bad butt have to put so working in to get faster on open fast tracks.  I would like to thank our my sponsors and family that make this possible.   and remember to keep the shiny side up  

AMA Dist. 17 Hare Scrambles Prophetstown, IL

Made it out to what was going to be M.G.R. hare scrambles at Morrison IL but ended up being at Prophetstown IL do to rain they got over at Morrison pulled up to the track which the last time my dad made it out here was back in the 80's and he says it  look the same when he raced here got the bike unload 10by10 up and then it stared to rain. the rain would not hurt the track because its a sand based track. My race coming up so I got geared up and got out to the line I was sitting on the line and the sun started to peak out the race started got a mid- pack start again was running god got to this back section with tis jump going down a hill a thought I was going to walk off of the bike how much that through me down that hill. I made some stupid mistakes early which I lost time to the guys ahead of me I ended up putting a charge on late to end up finishing 5th on the day which was really good and worth the trip out in the rain.  I would like to thank our my sponsors and family that make this possible.
