Round 4 AMA Dist.17 GP Lasalle, IL

we made it out to a rainy GP race we got out there and walked the track to see how bad it was because we heard it was really bad out there which after we walked it did not look too bad. the club decide to push back the start of the race so the track can dry which was the right choices because after the 1 set of mottos it was perfect. I got a mid pack start again and by the mid part of the race there was a bottle neck which I he to get around which was good because I got around like 3 or 4 riders there. I finished mid-pack not bad for a muddy 1st race. my dad had to good races and ended up finishing 2 on the day. my 2nd moto was not as good as my 1st because the 1 was more muddy where it got fast for the 2nd and I like the more challenge type race so I ended up finishing 13th for the day which was not to bad butt have to put so working in to get faster on open fast tracks.  I would like to thank our my sponsors and family that make this possible.   and remember to keep the shiny side up

AMA Dist. 17 Hare Scrambles Prophetstown, IL

Made it out to what was going to be M.G.R. hare scrambles at Morrison IL but ended up being at Prophetstown IL do to rain they got over at Morrison pulled up to the track which the last time my dad made it out here was back in the 80's and he says it  look the same when he raced here got the bike unload 10by10 up and then it stared to rain. the rain would not hurt the track because its a sand based track. My race coming up so I got geared up and got out to the line I was sitting on the line and the sun started to peak out the race started got a mid- pack start again was running god got to this back section with tis jump going down a hill a thought I was going to walk off of the bike how much that through me down that hill. I made some stupid mistakes early which I lost time to the guys ahead of me I ended up putting a charge on late to end up finishing 5th on the day which was really good and worth the trip out in the rain.  I would like to thank our my sponsors and family that make this possible.

1st roud of the FVOR Hare Scramble/ GP serise double header Wedron, IL

The first week we got to take the motorhome out and camp which is always fun to camp out all weekend long and race. got up for the Saturday GP nice not have to be getting up early and racing out of the house to get the race got signed up and bikes ready. went  out on the GP and ended up finishing 10th in my class for the day my dad ended up finishing 2nd for the day. at night we pulled our TV out of our camper and had a supper cross party with all the friends we hang out with at the races which was a blast to be able to watch good racing after a fun day of racing. the next day was the hare scramble which my dad went out and finished 2nd again which was a great week end for him. I started my race and got an ok start put he 1st half o0f the race did not ride all that great but was able to put a charge the 2nd half to end up finishing 8th on the day. I would like to thank the Ward family for running Fox Valley Offroad and putting on fun good races. I would also like to thank all our sponsors and family that make this possible.

2nd Round AMA Dist.17 GP Chanderville, IL

We made it down to the 2nd round of GP series  at Midwest Motocross it a sand based motocross track wit awesome wood trails. we went out for the practice and loved the track they laid out it was more like a hare scramble then a GP. so I got back and got ready for my first moto because mine was right after practice. got out to the line got ready the flag dropped and took off and got a mid pack start I was working on trying to get around the got ahead of me on this long straight away I click up a gear to get around him and then I hit a root that through me off the bike. I got back up and got back on the bike tried to get back put lost too much time from that high spped crash to get back into the battle so I finished the moto think I finished the moto in 7th. I got back in the pit and felt like I jammed my wrist and repulled shoulder muscle I pulled at work a few days before which was not good to have a better 2nd moto. so then it was my dads moto so he goes to start his bike to get to the line and he brakes his kicker at the pivot point our back is at home in the shop. we go ask Jay Hall if he has one he said he has 2 but that at his shop so that would not helps so my dad was lucky since it was going into the 1st moto he could ride the xr200 we had with us so he ended up racing it and managed up finishing 2nd in both motos. I went out for my 2nd moto and rode smart since I was hurting from the 1st still and rode to a 7th in that one too so I finished 7th on the day. not the best weekend but a bad day at the track is better than a good day at work so cant complain. I would like to thank all our sponsor for there sport and my family for all the do to make sure we can race. I would like to give a special thank Jay Hall for getting a pipe for my dads 430 that did not get to race this weekend but it was all ready to go before hand. remember to keep it shiny side up.

2nd Round AMA Dist. 17/16 Enduro Roselawn, IN

Made it to the 2nd round of AMA Dist. 17 Enduro which my cousin Frank made it down which was cool to see. I went to sign up to see what minute I was on I ended up getting on 19 which was not bad and Frank got on 18. I got to the start and got into the 1st test and was feeling good and riding fast I got the enduro cross section made it through clean. after the section I was going through an open wood section and ended up catching a tree right at knee height which took me right off the bike. I got up made sure I was ok and then went to my bike to find that my side cover was ripped off my so had to zip ty that back on. I finely got going down the trail to find some one needing help which I ended up stop to help to put his carb back on his bike because he did not have a screw driver I got that back on his bike and took off down the trail. so at this point I was behind the 8 ball and had to get moving. I got to gas and made to the restart with time to spare which was nice. I got to the start of the last test on time which that's how it should have been all day and right when I went into the test it stated drizzle I rushed through the last test to get in before the heavy rain in which I end it up beating. I ended up finishing up in 12th which was not bad for making a few mistakes and helping a fellow rider out. I would like to thank all my sponsors and family that make this possible.

Round 1 AMA Dist. 17 GP Lasalle, IL

Got out to our 2nd race of the year that was just an hour away from home. the GP was put on by a new club Midwest Off-road Riders. The start of the race was driftnet that we stood on the other side of our bike with one hand on our helmet I got a horrible start in the 1st moto and had to play ketchup for the rest of my moto. My 2nd moto was better which got a better start but in the 2nd or 3rd lap going down a straight away I ended up crashing and throwing away any good result. I ended up finishing 9th. My Dad had a good 1st moto and ended up finishing 3rd . His 2nd moto came he was running good in till he crashed at the same spot I did and he ended up throwing 3rd place away. He ended up 4th for the day not a bad way for his start of the year.
I'd like to thank all my sponsors for all they do and my family for the sport they do

Round 1 AMA Dist. 17 Harescrambles Keithsberg, IL

1st race of the year finely came it was around 45 50 degree day and sunny a lot better then it been. All week long I was battling with a cold that turned into laryngitis not the way I wanted to start the new season with a new bike. got signed up then just sat around waiting for the race to start got to the line was felling ok. They said 30sec. now the nerves are fully in and the 30 sec. fell like a hour the gun went off and I took off got a mid pack the best I have gotten in a log time. I started to find a grove and learn my bike because it was only my 2nd time on it and this was a whooped out sand track. I just rode my race and on the last lap had the energy to push and fleet good doing it. I ended up finishing 4th on the day not bad for being sick. the switch to 2 stroke was the right move because the last couple years on 4 strokes I have been in a slump. I would like to thank all my sponsors that make this possible.
