Mid South XC Lewisburg, KY

we headed down in Kentucky to do some testing on my new bike for this coming season. I was riding, I ended up going down hard in a rocky section and ended up breaking 3 bones in my neck.  I don't have any damage to my spine.  I am able to move & walk.  I see the neurologist in a week to see how long my recovery will be. I would like to give a special thanks to EVS for making the best protective gear that ended up saving my life. I would like to thank all my sponsors that is hanging in there with me and my job for being understanding.

New Ride for 2018

We went down to Hall's last Saturday to pick up new race bike for 2018 a 2017 Husqvarna TX 250. I would like to thank everyone at Hall's for the sport they give us.

AMA Dist.17 Harscrambles Keithsburg, IL

We headed out to the last race of the season going in to it I was sitting tied for first but at the start of the week I was sick and not going in at 100%. I did the best I could and ended up taking 8th on the day and loosing first place by 12 points. I cant complain on how the season went. My dad ended up leap frogging in to 4th for the year by finishing 4th on the day. all in all a good year and I would like thank all my sponsor and everyone that makes this happen!

We headed out for the last enduro for the year and when we got there it started snowing so the club delayed the start an hour and shorten it to only 2 test instated of 3. I got out there and all day just had a hard time trying to get a flow going and when I made it to the 2nd OB they said they are only running 1 test fro the day. I had a hard day ended up finishing 14th on the day. I would like to thank Ryan Moss for all the hard work he and his club did to make this race happen. I would like to thank all of our sponsors that make this all happen.  

AMA Dist. 17 Enduro Goshen, IN

We got out to Goshen for the turkey creek enduro I pulled an early number 13 which seamed to be a good move with the weather they where calling for. Around 45 mins before I was going to start it started down pouring with thunder and lighting now its a real enduro I got on the trail and there was standing water everywhere which was a blast. I got through the first test with making few mistakes and felt good to charge through the sloop. I got to the end of the first test and the club called the race because they said it would be to dangers to continue so got back to the staging area only to find my van stuck in the felid with everyone else stuck. Now once everyone have gotten back in they are now saying we are going back out after gas which I was fine with then after 45 mins waiting they then change there mind and called the race off now with the race being over the real fun began trying to get every one out of the mud. I ended up taking 2nd on the day I would like to thank every one that helped getting everyone out of the mud and all of our sponsors that make this possible.

We went down Saturday to do some work on the new vintage bike we spent all day tuning up the suspension on the 87 250. We got out on Sunday morning for a cold start to the day. I got out there with a 1 point between me and Brain for 2nd for the year with him not showing I ended up taking 2nd for the year not the way I wonted to get it. the races went well and was battling it out in all my classes and felt good on both bikes. My dads bike suspension was set up a hole lot better and was able to push the bike harder thanks to all the work Jay Hall did on Saturday. I ended up taking 5th in vintage and 4th in B and my Dad took 6th in Vintage.

   

AMA Dist.17 Hare Scrambles White City, IL

After a last minute cancelation in the Race that was to be held at Ottawa CCRD picked up the weekend to put on the race. I was ridding my 2014 do to the water pump leaking on the 2015 so I got off to a slow start learning my bike again I ended up battling my way to 3rd. the trails where perfect the little rain the got just kept the dust down for everyone that stayed home because of the weather missed out on a awesome day to go racing on perfect trails. My dad took 3rd on the day as well which is a great day for us I would like to thank Halls for getting me my other bike to run when I did not have the time to got my 15 ready to go.

We headed down for the Big Red enduro all day Saturday was perfect weather I woke up Sunday mooring it was raining we got to the staging area and after having to push the van out of the spot we parked. I went and signed up pulled a late number hoping that the trails would dry up some. I got out there and its was an old schools enduro which was a blast to ride I ended up taking 2nd on the day which was great considering the way the day went getting stuck in some of the ditches. AMA Dist.17 Hare Scrambles Wedron, IL

With the Saturday GP getting canceled we went out to pick up a 1987 WR 250 which we worked all day on Saturday to get it ready for Sunday race. we got to the track finished something up on the bike and got ready to race. Once again I was running 2 classes in the vintage race I got off to a good start and was right on Brain till I got hung up on some C riders and had a hard time getting passed them. I salted in for 3rd in vintage My Dad had a blast riding a 250 again since the late 80's. In my B class race I got a died last start which I hard to charge through the pack to get into 5th. I ended up getting around both of the guys that are right behind me to the overall point standings left with only 2 races left it will be going down to the wire. We head out to Geneseo, IL for a Hare scrambles it was a cold morning but warmed up nice and turned out to be a good day. In the vintage class I ended up winning the class and my dad took 2nd and in B class I took 5th on the day all in all a good to be out racing. We head out to Geneseo, IL for an enduro the last two weekend I was dealt with bad luck so this weekend goal was to start and finish with out any problems. the first test was fast and open I struggled a little to find the speed I needed to be at. the next 2 test where the most technical tests of the race and I was riding right with Jay and had good test. the 4th test I made a little mistake on a hill the cost me around 30-45 sec in this race with the test so short second it the different in placings. we came in to gas with a lot of time to recover and get ready for the last test. Half way through the last test I got lost do to the course not arrowed well which cost me enough time to drop me a few spot and got beat by the guy I am battling with in the point standings. I took 8th on the day out of 20 riders in my class which is a good day compared to my last 2 races. I would like to thank Jay for mounting my tires with mousse insert so flat tires would not happen again. I would also like to thank everyone who keeps T.C.R. going

     

AMA Nait. Enduro Park Hills, MO

We made the 5 hr drive down to Park Hills for the enduro. The race went from anything but planed there was a 3 mile transfer section before the start of the race by the time I got to the start of the test I got a front flat. I had to end up riding the first 3 test on a flat since that was the next time I would to my support team. I got to gas and put a new front tire on and was ready to make up some time that I lost half way through the 4th test I was pushing and the front end went out from under me and ended up going down hard I got back up and was trying to push and my front end just seamed to be pushing I pulled over to check see if everything was ok I found I have gotten an other flat front tire. I ended up finishing the day in 20th I rode a 44mile race 40mi of it on a flat. The last 2 races have given me some bad luck but that's racing time to regroup and come out fighting harder. I would like to thank Halls Cycles for getting my bike ready for this race from what I destroyed the weekend before.

AMA Dist. 17 Harescrables White City, IL

We headed down for a double header weekend to White City IL Saturday race went well I charged back from dead last to finish 5th on the day now on Sunday my bike did not start on the line then did not ride right the first lap I put a hard charge on to get up to 5th and was battling there all day. Going in to the last lap I was pushing and tagged a tree and then anther a went down hard the guy I was battling for 5th got around me after getting back up I found I messed up my front brake I put a charge on and passed him then going into the last wood section my clutch ended up staring to go out and then jut finally went out. so my day was ended right there. I found out that the seal on the kicker walked it self out causing the gear lube to leak out smoking the clutch a $5 seal cost me the day. My Dad have a better weekend then I did he finished both days strong in 5th but on Sunday he went down hard bending his bars and messed up the front end. I would like to thank the track workers that got me back to the pits and Halls cycle for being able to take my bike back with them to get it fixed up for the National this weekend.

   

AMA Dist. 17 GP Ottawa, IL

We headed out to VRMC to race a GP the weather was perfect for a good day of racing. The track was good in the vintage race I was battling it out with Brain for first I ended up fishing right on his rear wheel now in the 2nd moto I was determined to beat him half way through the race I got hung up on a slower rider coasting me time by the time I got around him Brain started pulling away. I charged my way back and was right on him going into the finish  for a 2nd place. I took 2nd for Vintage and 7th for B class. My Dad had his own battle on his hand for 3rd which he ended up taking. I would like to thank every one who make this all Possible.

AMA Dist. 17 Harescrambles Fosterburg, IL

We made the 4hr drive south to race the bonus round the day before my Dad picked up a new set of boots after 13yrs. from Halls Cycles. The weather was perfect for racing I got an ok start coming out on to the motocross part of it they red flagged the race. I found out that some of the classes missed a turn and came out ahead of the AA class. So they ended up restarting the race which this time I ended up getting stuck on a soft hill that I had to battle my way back then on the last lap I ended up running out of gas luckily had enough in reserve to get me back to the pit to get a splash I ended up taking 3rd and my Dad took 5th. My Dad loves the alpine star tech 7 he bought would like to thank Halls for having what we needed. I would also like to thank every one that helps T.C.R. 

AMA National Enduro Mathews, IN

With us finishing putting our race on we got back to racing by heading out for a National Enduro in Indiana. I was on row 77 with the Hall's in the first test I ended up crashing twice which took time away from me the 2nd test I was struggling to get a flow going. Into 3rd test I road good and was flowing now after gas I had two more test to go and just got through it. I did not ride to where I know I can be but finishing 17th out of 30 in my class and 235 out of 500 for the overall cant complain on the results for this was my first National I rode. I would like to thank all my sponsor that makes this all possible.

   

AMA Dist.17 Enduro Byron, IL

We heeded up for the sprint enduro up in Byron, IL the race was formatted with 4 wood test and 4 moto test. 3 out of the 4 woods test I made stupid mistakes that cost me time and wen I started running smooth and fast was with 1 wood test and 2 moto remaining. I ended up finishing 8th if would have not made the mistakes at the begging of the day I would have got into the top 5 where I should be running. For me it was not how I wanted the day to go and trying to figure out a new stile of event I did not to day just have to regroup and put in hard working and keep on pushing. I would like to thank all of our sponsors that keeps us at the races.      

AMA Dist.17 GP Coal Valley, IL

After spending Saturday at Roselawn working our race we got to headed out to Coal Valley to race a GP. The track was good my first moto in the vintage class I got 2nd off the start and was running good till I got hung up with some C riders and Brain got around me I charged back up to him and made a little bobble which coast me taking 2nd in moto 1. For Moto 2 I got 3rd off the start and was right behind Brain we were battling it out and going in to the last lap the door opened up I made the pass and was able to hold him off and take 2nd on the day. I ended up taking 7th in the B class and my Dad took 4th all in all a fun day racing with all our friends. I would like to thank every one who Helps T.C.R. going
